Making Waves at Bondi with Dove’s Body Scrub Activation
We launched Dove’s new body scrub range at Bondi Beach to engage with thousands of beachgoers and drive social media engagement with local influencers.
Background
Dove, one of the world’s leading skincare brands, wanted to launch their new range of luxurious body scrubs in style.
With a vintage caravan parked in front of the beautiful backdrop of Bondi Beach, REBORN launched a public activation that engaged thousands of beachgoers to experience Dove’s body scrubs firsthand.
Attendees were offered a complimentary smoothie, flavour-inspired by the refreshing formulas of the body scrubs, as well as a coupon to purchase the scrub at the nearby Chemist Warehouse stores.
Objective
REBORN’s aim was to attract up to 1,000 attendees to the Body Scrub Bondi Activation. Beyond in-person hype, we aimed to generate increased reach and engagement online through content captured at the event. Further awareness of the event was driven by local influencers and content creators attending the event to encourage our audience to come down and experience it for themselves. We also aimed to achieve conversions amongst samplers by handing out discount vouchers redeemable at the Chemist Warehouse stores in the local area.
Our Approach
REBORN launched Dove’s body scrub range at Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach for consumers to sample the nourishing scrub, whilst enjoying a flavour-inspired smoothie. Through collaborating with Student Edge, we provided banner assets and copy for Student Edge’s EDM campaign, which invited thousands of young Australians to attend. Further awareness of the new range and sampling event was generated by influencers and content creators attending the event and sharing content with their followers. To drive conversions amongst the samplers, we provided a $5 off coupon to purchase their own Dove body scrub at Chemist Warehouse stores in the local area.
